External Awnings & Canopies
Hallmark Foldaway Awnings
The standard blind for shop fronts it is perfect for creating a shaded area on residential patios.
Conservatory Awnings
VZ500 conseratory awnings are fitted to run in line with the glazing and are always motorised.
Drop Arm Awnings
The front rail of a drop arm blind lowers by gravity and is fixed to side arms that fall from a pivot point on the wall. Thus the projection is equal to the drop of the arm. They can be made to fall 90 degrees or up to 135 degrees for protection from lower angle sun. This is the simplest form of awning that is most suited to shorter drop windows.
Sliding Arm Awnings - US700
Operate in the same way as the drop arm except that the pivot point moves up as the blind drops. This allows longer projection and better head clearance under the arms. A spring mechanism in the slides draws the arms up, tensions the fabric and provides resistance to wind buffeting.
Free Standing Awnings - Duostore D315
Two foldaway awnings are mounted either side of a steel frame and are ideally suited to recreational areas and restaurant gardens where it is not possible to fit to the building structure.
Terrace Awnings - TR850
Designed for sunscreening terraces of continental cafes, terrace awnings can also provide cover in out of season UK climate. Where there are restrictions on smoking in restaurants or public houses they can form a covered external extension for smokers.
Traditional Awnings
The traditional awning is still the most robust and the nearest to an all-weather blind that is still manufactured to designs from the Victorian era.
Dutch Canopies
The quarter circle shape is formed with four or five aluminium arms that support the fabric. They are popular with shops and commercial premises as they can feature signage for advertising. The dutch canopy can also be an attractive addition to domestic properties.
